Boat tour to Perast

Perast is an old town on the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. It is situated a few kilometres northwest of Kotor and is noted for its proximity to the islets of St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks. Near Perast there are two islets: one is called Sveti Đorđe (St. George) and the other Gospa od Škrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks), and each has a picturesque chapel.

Gospa od Škrpjela is particularly interesting given that it is the only artificially-built island in the Adriatic, with an area of 3,030 m² — it was built upon a rock (Škrpjel) after two Venetian sailors from Perast found a picture of the Virgin Mary on it in 1452.

Tour Old town Kotor

Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro. It is located in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. The city has a population of 13,510 and is the administrative center of Kotor Municipality.

The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. It is located on the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska), one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea. Some have called it the southern-most fjord in Europe, but it is aria, a submerged river canyon.

Together with the nearly overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovćen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive and picturesque Mediterranean landscape.

In recent years Kotor has seen an increase in tourists, many of them coming by cruise ship. Visitors are attracted by the natural environment of the Gulf of Kotor and by the old town of Kotor.

Kotor is part of the World Heritage Site dubbed the Natural and Culturo Historical Region of Kotor.

Boat trip to the Blue Cave

The Blue Cave

If you come to Montenegro on vacation and decide to get to know its coast, then you must see the most beautiful, which is a little out of sight.

This is the Blue Cave, which will be closest to you if you are staying with us at the Forte Rose Resort.

This cave is one of the most famous in this part of the Adriatic, and with its wonderfully blue beauty it differs from all other caves on the sea.

It is located on the Lustica peninsula, on the open sea side and territorially belongs to Herceg Novi. It is located between the bay of Zlatna luka and Cape Mokra gora.

Primarily because of the unusually crystalline blue color that is visible to the naked eye, and is especially interesting when you dive. This color within the cave is created due to the reflection of the sun’s rays reflecting off its walls.

Mamula Island (also called Swallow Island with the old fortress Mamula) – a diving position where you can see something new every time. Mamula Fortress has participated in various military operations over the centuries, in various periods Mamula Fortress was a defensive structure, which protected the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, and was also a prison. Here you can see different types of underwater inhabitants of the Adriatic Sea such as octopuses, lobsters, etc., as well as cannonball and anchors. This location is very popular for diving because of its historical significance for Montenegro and its beauty.

Žanjice and Mirišta are two beaches on the Luštica peninsula, near place Rose. The beaches are covered in gravel, surrounded by grey stones, and the water is truly exquisite, with a transparent blue color, where one can see the clean, pristine sea floor.

Boat trip to the Blue Cave,  boat trip to the island of Mamula, and to the beautiful places Zanjice and Mirišta – 6 persons max, lunch pack, fruit/water, price on request (one-day trip)
